The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, went to Vietnam, more specifically Hanoi, because his company wanted to sell more in new places. People have been speculating that Apple might expand into other areas, especially since the International Data Corporation said that iPhone sales dropped by at least 10% in the first quarter of this year.

When it comes to China, there is a lot of competition with Apple right now. Apple is now Vietnam’s third-largest smartphone seller, though, and the country has become an important place for Apple to make things as it moves out of China.

We heard a few months ago that the tech giant was moving the production of their iPad to Vietnam. Since then, they’ve been working on the MacBook, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Bryan Ma is vice president of client products research at the International Data Corporation. He said, “Vietnam is important to Apple not only because it has a growing number of fans there, but also because the industry is hedging its bets by moving production outside of China.” This includes important places like Vietnam, where Samsung has been present for a long time in the north of the country.

India is another place where Apple has done a lot of business. They said that some of their goods, like the iPhone, would be made in India, and they want to move more production to the country as well. Additionally, the tech giant has a large customer base in India, which makes it a likely area for them to look into manufacturing and producing their goods.
