What is the current status of Disney’s anti-DeSantis, pro-gay policies? This is all before we even consider the gut-wrenching financial losses.

Even worse for Disney, a former Disney Channel actor, Stoney Westmoreland, was arrested by authorities trying to persuade a 13-year-old child to have sex with him, which is awful for the company’s image.

According to Deadline, “Stoney Westmoreland, who portrayed the grandpa on the Disney Channel sitcom Andi Mack until he was dismissed after claims of trying to arrange online to have sex with a 13-year-old, has been charged with six felony charges.”

After Westmoreland was convicted, Deadline amended the report, saying that:

Accused of attempting to seduce a juvenile into sex, Stoney Westmoreland received a two-year jail term and 10 years of probation. After initially facing a ten-year term, Westmoreland agreed to a plea bargain with prosecutors. The only prosecution he faced was for utilizing interstate facilities to transfer information about a minor, which he was permitted to plead down to.

Despite the low sentence, it’s good that the former Disney star who has been found guilty of being a child molester has been taken off the streets.

It wasn’t simply that the ex-Disney star was looking for sex; he was also looking for a companion. Rather, the deviant had sent graphic messages and photographs to a 13-year-old youngster he mistook for a 13-year-old boy on Grindr, a homosexual dating app infamous for fostering promiscuity, but which was a police investigator. The show Westmoreland appeared in mostly followed a 13-year-old girl, the same age as the individual on the bogus Grindr account.

Then, he sought to meet the youngster for sex, preparing to do so in a hotel room where many sex toys were discovered by authorities.

Following his conviction for the sex crime, the former Disney star will be required to register as a sex offender and hand over his electronic devices to police for random searches; he will also be required to provide his DNA to the police; and so on.

Even worse for Disney, Westmoreland was still working for the corporation when he was captured in a ride-sharing car trying to meet the youngster, who turned out to be an investigator. At that point in the tragic case, Deadline reported:

Prosecutors in Salt Lake City say Westmoreland, 48, discovered a Grindr profile managed by a police detective near the Disney Channel sitcom’s filming location. In court filings, the actor used a ridesharing service to pick up the youngster on December 13 and drive him back to his hotel room. A few hours later, Disney severed all relations with him because of his arrest that day.

When asked about the arrest, Disney said:

“Today in Salt Lake City, Stoney Westmoreland, an actor working on the sitcom ‘Andi Mack,’ was detained. He has been fired from his role as a regular cast member due to the nature of the accusations and our duty for the safety of hired kids, and he will not return to work on the series, which closes production on its third season next week.”

Writer, director, and producer Westmoreland has been in television shows like Scandal (Breaking Bad), Better Call Saul (NCIS), and Matchstick Men (Godzilla) and in films like Godzilla.

With his recent stunt, his career might as well have been put to an end.
