Trump and Biden are now tied, but the race is still close

Several polls show that Biden is slowly closing the gap between himself and Trump as Trump’s campaign for president gets stronger. This being said, experts say that the challenge now could come from third-party candidates who are also running.

Before, polls showed that one candidate had a four-point lead. Now, the New York Times’ Siena College Poll says that there is only a 1% gap between the two candidates among registered voters. As long as former president Donald Trump is in New York for his criminal trial, support for Biden may keep growing. Trump will not be able to campaign for at least six weeks.

One-fourth of people polled said that Biden’s presidency wasn’t good for the country, and more than forty percent said that Trump’s presidency was better for the country than Biden’s.

There was a different study that showed the results without any other candidates. It only compared Joe Biden to Donald Trump. Fourteen percent of people would pick Biden, while forty percent would pick Trump. The data showed that when third-party voters, mostly Robert F. Kennedy Jr., were added, the percentage dropped, putting Biden below Trump.

This is not a surprise because RFK Jr. is a standard progressive leftist on most issues. This makes him the same as the current Democratic party leadership, wrote Issues & Insights editor Terry Jones.

Right now, polls are showing a lot of different numbers, and candidates keep changing their minds. Only time will tell how third-party candidates could change the outcome in the end.
